The most important Brazilian literature award will be bestowed in the opening ceremony of the 9th Meeting. In this second edition of the Passo Fundo Zaffari-Bourbon Literature Award, the winner will receive R$100,000. In 1999, the winner was the journalist Sinval Medina, with his book entitled "Tratado da altura das estrelas".
